It's 7:40 PM on a Wednesday. You've been on your feet, on calls, or on the train since 8 AM. The bar with friends got cancelled. You don't want to cook. You also don't want the gummy sushi from the place around the corner that you keep ordering out of habit. Atto Sushi delivers across Midtown East, Murray Hill, Kips Bay, Turtle Bay, Sutton Place, Lenox Hill, and the Upper East Side — Edomae-quality nigiri and sashimi, ordered through Toast in under a minute, at your door inside the window.
The Right Order for a Solo Weeknight
For one person, the easiest move is the lunch Hachi Set ($30, 8 nigiri + 1 roll + miso soup or salad) if you're ordering during lunch hours — or a small chef-selected nigiri platter plus an appetizer for dinner. A 10-piece nigiri plus a side of edamame and a miso soup is a full dinner for one in the $40–50 range; an additional sashimi side bumps it to a slightly more indulgent night.
Sashimi travels exceptionally well — if you eat sushi often and you like to control the rice-to-fish ratio yourself, a sashimi-forward order is the move. Add a side of plain rice on the menu if you want to assemble at home.
For Two: The Easy Order
If you're ordering for two, build the dinner around a shared chef-selected nigiri platter, then add: one sashimi platter, one or two cooked rolls, edamame, and either toro tartare or yellowtail carpaccio. That's a full dinner for two in the $90–120 range, comfortably under what a sit-down dinner anywhere in the neighborhood would cost.
Pair with a Sapporo or a small bottle of sake. The full sake list is organized by flavor profile — Light & Crisp, Fruity & Floral, Earthy & Savory, Unique — so you can pick something based on what you actually want to taste. For sake by the bottle on delivery, call (845) 421-4967 to confirm availability.
What Actually Travels Well
- Nigiri (chef-selected) — eat first, within 20–30 minutes of arrival
- Sashimi — holds up the best in delivery; pure fish, no rice timing pressure
- Rolls — cooked rolls travel better than raw-fish rolls
- Yellowtail carpaccio & toro tartare — appetizers that punch well above expectations
- Edamame, seaweed salad, miso soup — everyday sides that fill out the meal
How We Pack It
The kitchen packs rice and fish with the understanding that they'll be eaten within a reasonable window — this is premium sushi takeout, not something designed to sit for two hours. Containers are chosen for insulation; oilier fish are packed away from delicate varieties. Eat within 20–30 minutes of delivery for the best experience. Anything you can't finish, prioritize the cooked items and sashimi for leftovers — nigiri rice is the limiting factor overnight.
